Slightly Dented
Sometimes stock gets damaged in transit to us from the factory or if we're butter-fingered when getting orders packed, and so we are selling our slightly dented products off a little cheaper than normal.
'Bobbly'
Some Shade™ stock has come out a little 'bobbly'. This isn't a great skin feel as it's usually beautifully smooth to apply, but with a little TLC a loving home can make it quickly and easily gorgeous again - we just don't have the time to do this for you.
Shea butter is made up of many fatty acids, each with their own melting and solidifying pace. When manufacturing it is not always possible to quickly cool the batches in the same way as could be achieved when making the formula in small batches by hand, and when packed and then stacked, the cooling process can take a while, increasing the risk of the shea forming 'grains' (or as we affectionately call "Bobbles"). This is an interesting article which explains this phenomenon in more depth.
We're selling these at a discounted price because there's a little effort required on your part to get them back to silky smooth before you start using them again.

This sun screen has been a god send my daughter has not had a reaction to this sun screen & we are now 100% enjoying the sun with peace of mind and avoiding all the nasties in most commercial said ‘sun protection ‘ which in my opinion causes ‘slow burn’ ( excuse the pun) consequences . How do you normally ship and how long does it take?
All orders are normally processed and mailed within 2 working days of receipt, but we aim to send all orders within 1 working day.
We use Royal Mail services for all UK orders unless over 2kg in weight, when we will choose an alternative courier.
Generally...
- UK-destined orders will take between 1-4 working days depending on the service you choose for delivery
- EU orders will are sent using a courier service which takes your order across the channel into The Netherlands, where it is then sent using DHL eCommerce service. Your tracking will start to be active once the item has reached The Netherlands. There will be no customs duties or tax to pay additional to the cost of your order. These costs are factored in to the price of your order.
- All other international non-EU (USA, Canada, Rest of the World) will take between 4 - 10 working days
- We ask all UK customers to allow up to two weeks for delivery
- We ask all overseas customers to allow up to 25 working days for delivery.
